On November 27, the Henan Lawyers Association and the Law School of Zhengzhou University jointly held the inauguration ceremony of the innovative base for the practice of foreign-related Legal Talents and the seminar on the training of foreign-related Legal Talents at Guanghua Hotel in Zhengzhou. The seminar was attended by Hou Xuegong, deputy director of the Henan Provincial Department of Justice, and Zhang Qianhong, vice president of the Zhengzhou University. Xu Bulin, chairman of the Henan Lawyers Association, and Miao Lianying, dean of the Law School of Zhengzhou University, signed the cooperation agreement. Wang Yusheng, Secretary General of Henan Lawyers Association, senior Foreign Lawyers and experts from National Sun Yat-sen University, Wuhan University, Jilin University, Shandong University, Henan University and Henan University of Finance and Economics attended the ceremony and seminar. The meeting was chaired by Liang Qingya, secretary of the Party Committee of Zhengzhou University Law School.
The Law School of Zhengzhou University employed 10 experienced foreign lawyers as the instructors of the innovation practice base, while the lawyer of Henan Changhao Law Firm, Dr. Gu Ming, was employed as the instructors of the innovation practice base for Foreign Legal Talents.
Xu Bulin, chairman of the Henan Lawyers Association and Director of the Henan Changhao Law Firm, pointed out that the world today is in the midst of a big change not seen in a century, and in order to promote the development of the rule of law involving foreign elements, we need more qualified foreign-related legal personnel who are familiar with international legal rules and practices and who have international vision. The innovative base of training foreign-related legal talents jointly built by ZHENGDA law school and Henan Bar Association has been put on the market. The perfect combination of law research and law practice has been realized. We believe that through the deep cooperation between the two sides and the use of their advantages and resources, we will be able to greatly promote the training of high-level foreign-related rule of law talents, in order to meet the needs of the province’s economic and social development of the rule of law.
Miao Lianying, the Dean of the Law School of Zhengzhou University, pointed out that the construction of an innovative and practical base for foreign-related legal talents, together with the hiring of lawyers as off-campus mentors, is conducive to the cultivation and cultivation of a large number of high-quality and complex foreign-related legal talents, it will help the construction of Henan under the rule of law, the development of Henan’s economy and society, and the construction of China under the rule of law.
Gu, a graduate of University of Technology Sydney, holds a lawyer’s license in China and a lawyer’s license in Australia. Gu started his practice as a lawyer in 2000. He worked in the Special Police Department of Public Security and obtained his master’s degree (LLM. UTS) and Ph. D. from the Australian University of Technology Sydney.
Gu Ming has broad international vision, rich lawyer practice experience and profound legal theory background, in the field of corporate law and contract law has very high attainments. International Commercial Law, International Banking Law, international environmental protection, International Intellectual Property Protection and WTO rules have been deeply studied in the field of international law and private international law. In the course of practice, I directly handled the listing business of Chinese enterprises in Australia, and handled a large number of civil and commercial disputes.
